11 people killed in collision between minibus and Tipper in Dharwad

Dharwad: At least 11 people died in a road accident on National Highway-4 near Itigatti village in Dharwad district of Karnataka  when a tempo traveller, carrying members of a women’s club had a head-on collision with a tipper truck.

The incident took place on Friday morning near Ittigatti cross on Hubballi-Dharwad bypass road.

It is said that 10 women died in the crash apart from the driver of the tipper truck and five women passengers re said to be seriously injured. Two others suffered minor injuries

The members of the women’s club were heading to Goa for a family function when the unfortunate incident took place. A case has been registered at Dharwad Rural Police station
