2 BSF officers dismissed, 6 transferred for involvement in cattle smuggling case: Special DG

New Delhi: Border Security Force (BSF) has dismissed two of its officers and transferred six others in connection with India-Bangladesh cattle smuggling case in Bengal, Special DG Pankaj Kumar Singh said.

“We’ll cooperate with CBI. There’s no scope for illegal acts in the force,” he added. Notably, BSF commandant Satish Kumar was arrested last year for his alleged involvement in the racket.

In September 2020, the Central Bureau of Investigation had registered a case and arrested two BSF commandants and one local businessman who were allegedly involved in cattle smuggling along south Bengal
