12 people in Bidar are also suspected to be infected from the fungus with one of them being in critical condition.

Physicians have also confirmed infections from the fungus in 6-7 people who had come for an eye examination at a private eye hospital here. The health department, however, is yet to confirm this.

Additionally, a man in Sankeshwara in Hukkeri taluk is also suspected to be infected from black fungus.
