The police suspected that the infant was killed over a family dispute.
Initially, the police suspected Karthik but he turned up and filed a complaint against his father Chittar Raj, a retired army man and his brother Aravind.
In his complaint, Karthik informed that despite opposition from his family he had married Stella in February this year. The family opposed their marriage because Stella was from a different religion.
