91 K’taka students stranded in Ukraine; Govt launches web portal

Bengaluru: According to the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA), around 91 persons from 22 districts in Karnataka are stranded in Ukraine.

Three students from Mangaluru and one from Udupi are stranded in Ukraine. The family members of the Mangaluru students, Cleton D’souza, Anaina Anna and Layda Pereira claimed that they are safe.

Rohan Dhananjay Bagli from Udupi has also contacted his family members and claimed that he is safe for now.

Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority has created a web portal to collect relevant information about  Karnataka people stranded in Ukraine.

The website can also be accessed on mobile phones and the information collected will be shared with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. It will also provide the latest updates from the MEA and contact numbers needed for help.
