As of June 28, the active caseload in Kerala was 96,012. It shot up to nearly 1.08 lakh on July 7. Since July 5, the active caseload has increased by nearly 7,300 cases.
Reports stated that the daily cases reported in Kerala have nearly doubled since June 28, while the state reported 8,063 fresh cases on June 28 and the daily cases on July 7 increased to 15,600.
Kerala has reported close to 1.23 lakh cases in the last 10 days. During the same period, more than 1.01 lakh people have also recovered.
Kerala reported India’s first coronavirus case in January 2020. Kerala has been one of the most affected states in the country, during the first and second waves of the coronavirus.
