Actor Chethan files Rs 1 defamation suit against Min Shivram Hebbar

Bengaluru: A Re 1 defamation suit against state Labour Minister Shivram Hebbar has been filed by Actor Chetan over a tweet.

A notice has been issued to the Minister by a Bengaluru court on Thursday to respond on the next date of hearing, which has been set for July 14.

The actor has asked the court to direct the minister to issue an unconditional apology.

Earlier, the Minister had called for the actor’s arrest for his advocacy against Brahminism and casteism on Twitter.
