Advocate files complaint against Indian Medical Council in Karnataka

Bengaluru: A complaint has been filed against the Indian Medical Council in Karnataka alleging that the protest has led to several deaths in the State.

The doctors failed to treat patients in dire need which has led to many deaths. It was their responsibility to take care of patients when in need and they did not do it as per the expectations of their profession. He said.

Advocate S Nataraj Sharma said he complained against the IMA, as the doctors continued the protest on Friday despite the high court requesting doctors to call off. “It’s against the code of conduct for doctors to protest. The media has reported that there were 51 deaths in the state when the doctors went on strike. This matter has to be investigated,” he added.
