Bengaluru: Amid the outrage over pro-Pakistan slogans raised by anti-CAA activist Amulya Leona at a rally held in Bengaluru's Freedom Park, the police detained yet another young woman for holding a "Kashmir Mukti (liberation), Dalit Mukti, Muslim Mukti" placard at a counter-protest held in Townhall here on Friday, February 21. Earlier on Thursday, Amulya Leona raised slogan of “Pakistan Zindabad” thrice after the organisers of the event under the banner of “Save Constitution” invited her to address the gathering in the presence of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Amulya who was arrested by police soon after the event on charges of sedition has been sent to 14-day judicial custody. Enraged over Amulya's remarks, few pro-Kannada organizations had organized a counter-protest here at Townhall on Friday. The girl identified as Arudra was spotted sitting holding the placard with "Kashmir Mukti (liberation), Dalit Mukti, Muslim Mukti" slogans written in both Kannada and English. The Vedike members alleged that she raised Pakistan Zindabad slogan at the protest venue. She was escorted out of the place as the Vedike members asked her to leave and crowd started gathering. "She has been now been taken into custody for her own safety along with the placard... we will find out her background, where she has come from and who are behind her among other things," City police chief Bhaskar Rao told reporters, adding she did not raise any slogan. To a question if she would be arrested, the Commissioner said let the investigation be held. "It is too early as she has just been taken into custody," he added.
