After Kerala CM writes to PM, K'taka opens three border routes

Kasaragod: After Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention over the action of Karnataka police in blocking a key state highway ferrying essential commodities to the state, Karnataka government has decided to open three routes connecting Kerala.
As roads connecting to Kerala had been blocked with soil heaps, supply of essential commodities to Kerala was being disrupted.
Vijayan requested Modi to intervene urgently in the matter to ensure smooth flow of essential commodities to Kerala when the state is fighting COVID-19 on a war footing.
In this backdrop Union Minister Sadananda Gowda held a meeting with chief ministers of both the states following which Karnataka has decided to the open Mangaluru-Kasargod, Mysuru HD Kote via Manantavadi and Sultan Battery via Mutunga highway.
