The cartoon, titled ‘My Golden Makhan’ with the MGM letters marked in golden ink, features Amazon Founder founder Jeff Bezos standing next to Leo, the eighth lion, that is being used in the MGM logo since 1957. The lion has Amazon’s swoosh logo on his smile with an accompanying caption ‘Bezos gets the lion’s share’.
Taking to Twitter to share the quirky campaign, amul wrote “#Amul Topical: Amazon buys MGM in a major media deal!”
Announcing the merger agreement with MGM on Wednesday, Amazon said they plan to “reimagine and develop together with MGM’s talented team”, stories from the vast catalog of the studio which has almost a century-old history in filmmaking.
