He was talking at a program composed at Suchitra Film Society at Banashankari here to release the translated edition of Veer Savarkar’s book ‘Hindutva’, by critic and columnist, J B Harish, on Sunday June 17. He blamed a few rationalist for having enough information about Hindutva but acting a drama about it. He felt that nobody should work to divide Hindutva.
“The individuals who definitely think about Hindutva needn’t bother with this. Erudite people who are hiding appropriately covering themselves in the blanket of stupidity won’t comprehend regardless of one’s earnest attempts. The individuals who visit USA, Japan and so forth return and criticize India for improper, bad state of the roads and deficiency of electricity. For them, just these things make up a nation,” he said.
Ananth Kumar Hegde said that Savarkar followed what he preached. He said it is difficult to thoroughly clarify Hindutva and named such a request as stature of stupidity. “I am not an idiot like the rationalists, and I was not born in such a lineage of idiot,” he expressed.

He also blamed a few people of attempting to show that Hinduism is being raked up as an issue for election. “This is not a political football match. It’s not a method for election. Wearing of flower, and bangles, going to temples and so on don’t altogether depict Hinduism. Hinduism is our lifeline and culture. It is an incredible method for living,” he clarified.
Essayists, M N Vyasa Rao and Rohith Chakrateertha, critic, J B Harish and others were also present at the event.
