Annamalai, Gopinathan and now Senthil; what is the mystery behind these successive resignations?

Mangaluru: Sasikanth Senthil who has been giving his service has the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district since the last two years resigned from his position on Friday. As an efficient and honest officer, Mr Senthil was loved by the people for his several people friendly works.

The walls of democracy are collapsing. In the coming days, the country shall face many questions. I cannot work contrary to the doctrines, stated Mr Senthil in his resignation letter.

During the period when the special status of Jammu and Kashmir has been revoked, I cannot put forth my opinion since I am working in the public service, stated IAF officer Kannan Gopinanthan stationed at Diu and Daman in his resignation letter. But his resignation letter has not yet been accepted.

Strict IAS officer Annamali resigned from public service during the month of May. He has given personal reason as the cause for his resignation.

Sasikanth Senthil, who is of the 2009 IAS Karnataka Cadre accepted his charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Dakhsina Kannada in October 2018.

The 40-year-old Senthil is originally from Tamil Nadu. He holds an engineering degree in electrical and communication from Bharatidasan University in Tiruchirappalli.

He served as the Assistant Commissioner at Ballari from 2009-2012 and later was appointed as the CEO of Shimoga Zilla Panchayat. After serving as the Dc of Chitradurga and Raichur districts, he served as the Director of Mines and Geology Department in 2016.
