Anticipating his murder Bhaskar Shetty bequested all his properties to mother, siblings

Udupi: Bhaskar Shetty had reportedly written a will, two weeks before his murder, bequeathing all his properties to his mother and siblings.

The will states: “My wife is having an extra-marital relationship with another man. She and my son have assaulted me in this regard. There is a danger to my life from my wife and son and they may try to forcefully acquire my properties. Hence, I am making this will.”

“In case of my premature death or demise, I must have all my rightful assets, rent from commercial buildings, money in bank accounts, money from insurance policies in my name transferred to my mother. If my mother dies before me, then my three sisters must receive 10 per cent each from all of my above-mentioned properties and the rest must be equally transferred to my three brothers after my death. My wife Rajeshwari and son Navaneet should not have any rights in any of my properties,” the will further read.

The properties of Shetty include 26 cents of real estate in survey number 114 in Shiribidu near Udupi city bus stand which has a building with the Shri Durga International Hotel and rented shops in it, a commercial building called Shankar and 26 cents of land attached with it on survey number 120/14 and 26 on the Mosque Road in Udupi, a 210 square feet shop in Udupi’s Baliga Tower and 4,500 square feet of land at Indrali in Shivalli village.

Shetty also wrote in his will that the ownership of the 6 malls he owns abroad should also be transferred to his three brothers.
