Army directs personnel to delete 89 apps, including FB, PUBG

New Delhi: Days after the Centre banned 59 Chinese mobile apps, the Indian Army has instructed its personnel to delete 89 apps from their smartphones.

The decision has been taken to plug the leakage of information, as per a media report.

The 89 apps that need to be deleted includes Facebook, TikTok, Tinder, PUBG, Instagram, Snapchat, OkCupid, as well as few other messaging apps, video hosting apps, content sharing apps, web browsing app, utility apps, gaming apps, ecommerce apps, video and live streaming apps, dating apps, lifestyle apps, music apps, and blogging apps.
