Ayodhya verdict: Withdraw cases against LK Advani, MM Joshi urges Pejawar swamiji

Udupi/Belagavi: Comparing the Ram Mandir Movement to the independence struggle, Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math on Wednesday opined that cases registered against leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi as well as the Karsevaks involved in the mass movement be withdrawn.

Speaking to media persons in Belagavi here, days after the apex court pronounced its verdict in the Ayodhya land dispute case, Pejawar Swamiji expressed happiness that their wish of building the temple at Lord Rama’s birthplace will become a reality.

Calling for communal harmony, the seer asked people to co-operate towards the construction of the temple/mosque irrespective of their religion. “No matter what religion we belong, we are all Indians and we should shed our differences and work for united India,” he said adding that he was happy that there were no clashes after the court pronounced its verdict.
