Ayodhya Ram Temple is soon set to become a reality after Prime Minister Narendra lays the foundation stone for the Mandir in Ayodhya on August 5
Ayodhya Temple will be 161 feet, and have three floors supported by 318 pillars. The temple’s architect is Nikhil Sompura, who is the son of Chandrakant Sompura, the man who prepared the original designs for the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
In the earlier design the height was 141 ft and some changes have been made to the old blueprint. Two mandaps have also been added to the design. All pillars and the stones that were carved based on the earlier design will still be used
The temple will have multiple areas where devotees will be able to sit and pray. The structure has been designed to allow a ‘parikrama’ (circulation) of devotees. The new temple will have five domes instead of three as proposed earlier
The work will start right away after the bhumi pujan by the Prime Minister It will take 3 to 3.5 years for the completion of the work. Also, Three-day long Vedic rituals will be held ahead of the bhumi pujan.
