Stressing on the need to accept the Supreme Court verdict in a peaceful manner, Pejawar seer said that he will go on an indefinite fast if communities, groups held victory procession or resorted to violence regardless in whose favour the court pronounces its judgment.

“A final verdict in the matter is expected before November 15. If people want to celebrate the verdict they can do so at their homes by offering prayers,” the seer said at a press meet here.

Responding to a query on construction of Ram Mandir, the seer said that the plans would be chalked out after the SC verdict.

On goverments decision to remove history lessons on Tipu Sultan from school text books he said that historical facts should show both sides of a person’s personalities and deeds.

While Tipu’s administration was good, people of Kodagu district and Christians have blamed him for massacres. “There were many kings who did both good and bad. They should not be overly glorified. It will not be wrong if some of the wars waged by Tipu are mentioned in the lesson,” he stated.
