Darshan, who has been in a high-security cell for the past six days, has mostly remained silent, with books as his only companions. Jail authorities are currently reviewing his request for phone access under the “Prison Call System.” If approved, Darshan would be allowed to speak with his family members three times a week for five minutes each.
According to jail officials, Darshan will need to submit the mobile numbers of the family members or lawyers he wishes to contact in advance. All conversations will be recorded as part of the security protocol.
