Speaking to the reporters, Mithun said, ” Mulky Bappanadu temple was built by a man named Bappa Byari. Even today, the temple’s chariot has his photo on it. Also, the jasmine flowers offered to the goddess are grown by the Christians of Shankarapura and sold by Muslims. The temple is a live example of communal harmony.”
“The shameful banner has been put up in the city and the administration is keeping mum about the issue. The district commissioner must take strict action against the culprits. If not, we will gherao the district administration office,” he added.
