Bengaluru riots: Police are acting like BJP agents says DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru: KPCC President D K Shivakumar has alleged that in the DJ Halli and KJ Halli riots cases the police department is acting as an agent of the BJP and if it continues to be so then we will soon have to start an agitation against the police rather than the BJP.

Along with the allegation, Shivakumar directly challenged the Police Commissioner stating that there is an attempt to ‘fix’ the Congress for the Bengaluru riots. Mr Commissioner, be careful, the police should not act as BJP’s agent. You can consider this a warning or a request.

He further added that the police department had completely failed in controlling the riot and now wants to fix it on Congress. I and the Congress will not let that to happen. Congress leaders are not dead yet and we will agitate against you.

We do not trust the government-run investigation agencies. The investigation must be led by a High Court Justice, he said.
