“Because of Election Code of Conduct, the capital city was clean with no banners, boards or cutouts. But not long after the elections, these flexes are again set up across the city,” a resident said.

A few such pennants, flex, and hoardings were spread around the Vidhana Soudha to wish H D Kumaraswamy and Dr. G Parameshwara ahead of swearing in ceremony.

“These promotion pennants cause ecological contamination as well as produces an enormous measure of waste. To keep the city clean the banners should be banned,” said Dasarahalli resident Manoj Rai.
