Bantwal: Unidentified man killed in hit-and-run accident

Bantwal: A person, whose identity is yet to be established was killed in a hit-and-run accident at Bantwal here on Saturday.

As per sources, the man was walking along the roadside when a car rammed into him. The man was bleeding profusely due to injuries sustained in the mishap. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where he died without responding to the treatment.

Since the man’s identity was not known, his mortal remains have been kept at the mortuary in Bantwal government hospital

Police said that the deceased was aged around 60. They urged anyone having information on the deceased and/or his family to contact the Bantwal Govt hospital or Melkar traffic police station.
