The incident claimed the life of Yashodhara (25), a resident of Chikkamagaluru, who was riding pillion on the bike. His friend, Avinash, who was riding the bike, escaped with minor injuries.
Yashodhara and Avinash were both employed at City Centre Mall in Mangaluru and had been to attend the Kola ritual at the house of their friend in Beltangady. They were on their way back to Mangaluru at around 3:30 am when the accident took place.
A case has been registered.
