Drama was witnessed at a wedding function in Belthangady’s Naravi after arguments ensued between the bride and groom’s family causing the police to intervene.
The wedding was called off mid-way after the bride got angry as the groom’s hand brushed against her neck during the traditional garland exchange. She threw off the garland and walked away even as her family tried to calm her down.
Offended by the bride’s behaviour, the groom’s family decided to call off the marriage. This led to arguments between the two families and police had to intervene. As both the families could not reach an amicable solution the wedding was canceled.
