Belthangady: Youth accused of biting of friend's nose arrested

Belthangady: Venur police have arrested a youth accused of biting off his friend’s nose in a drunken brawl on New Year’s Eve.

The accused Rakesh (21), who hails from Mudigere taluk resided at a relative’s house in Pillya while working at a local shop.

The victim Deekshit (28) sustained severe injuries and is undergoing treatment at Wenlock Hospital. Acting on his complaint, police filed a  case against the accused Rakesh.

A team of police personnel led by Venur Sub-Inspector Srishaila J. arrested the accused on Tuesday. He was later produced before the court.
