Bengaluru: 5 people try to sacrifice 10-yr-old to 'ward off spirits'; arrested

Bengaluru: A priest and four others were arrested for allegedly trying to sacrifice a 10-year-old girl in Nelamangala to “ward off evil spirits”.

The accused kidnapped the girl while she was playing in front of her house. The girl’s grandmother noticed the girl was missing.

She started looking for her and heard her screams from the field. The woman told police that all five accused were present with the girl as they conducted some rituals. The girl was rescued and it was found that the accused were trying to sacrifice her.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
