Yamuna aka Chandrakala (35) and her daughter Ratanya (4) were found murdered with their throats slits in their apartment on Wednesday. The incident came to light when Chandrakala’s sister visited the place.

Police said that the miscreants had stabbed the victims several times and also slit their throats. The gold jewelry in the house also has been stolen.

It is gathered that Chandrakala, originally from Chitradurga had migrated to Bengaluru four years ago. Her husband Channaveeraswamy works in a garment factory, and she was into online marketing of Ayurvedic products. The couple has two children and one of them stays at a hostel.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a man was seen going into their apartment after Channaveeraswamy went to the factory. This man was later seen leaving the apartment in the noon and is one of the suspects in the case.
