The deceased has been identified as Supreeth, a clerk by profession from Hassan. Supreeth consumed poison at a lodge in Majestic. The hotel staff noticed water coming out of his room in and he did not respond to knocks, they opened the door and found him dead inside the washroom.

He left a note and accused four minor boys of blackmailing him for money by threatening to leak sex videos with his girlfriend. They allegedly extorted Rs 4,000-Rs 5,000 from Supreeth and threatened to leak the videos if he didn’t pay more. The four were arrested on Friday.
