Bengaluru: Case of missing priest cracked; two detained

Bengaluru: The police probing the missing case of a priest of Kashi Vishwanath temple at Kadugodi found out that he was murdered and buried.

Neelakanta Deekshit (57), priest of Kashi Vishwanath temple at Kadugodi here had mysteriously gone missing three months back, the police investigating the case have now have found out that he was murdered and his body was buried.

Reportedly, the police have now detained two persons Manjunath and Gopi in connection with the case.

It is gathered that Neelakanta was operating the business of money lending through another person, Anjaneya Reddy, and those who raised loans had murdered the priest as he insisted on repayment of money lent by him.

Additional zonal police commissioner, Murugan who is in charge of the case informed that they have converted the missing case into murder.
