Bike-bus collision: Two youths killed on the spot

Karwar: In a tragic incident two persons were killed on the spot after their bike rammed into a government bus near Haliyala Engineering College cross here on Friday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Manjunath Munnappa Murashi (23) and Shivaji Ramachandra Murashi (22), both residents of Haliyal Taluk.

It is gathered that the duo were travelling towards Haliyal from Dandeli. The accident occured when they attempted to overtake the government bus. Witnesses said that the accident took place due to speeding and neglience of the youngsters.

Haliyal Police registered a case.
