The jathre is aimed to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words and Karnataka BJP’s propaganda. The strategy was adapted from a similar practice in Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. The jathre will showcase the achievements of NDA governemnet and the BJP government through exhibition centres, makeshift cinema halls, ‘Chai pe charcha’ with leaders among others. Food stalls serving local delicacies, game stalls with themes, kids zone with joyrides, selfie booths, recreational on-stage activities like musical chair, pop quiz, impromptu singing competition, laser shows will also be part of the jatre.
Each and every household of farmers will be visited and Bengaluru Rakshisi padayathra will begin on March 2 for protesting against the assault by Congress leaders and misrule of the state government. The yathre aims to reach over 15 lakh voters directly and over 1 crore indirectly.
Speaking to the reporters on Wednesday, BJP state general secretary Aravind Limbavali told that the jatre will be held from March 2 in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, Ballari, Mysuru, Tumakuru and Bengaluru Rural districts. The yathre will then head towards Central Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka regions, he said.
