The 40-year-old candidate visited Sri Ramanjaneya Bhajana Mandir in Ashok Nagar along with his party activists, and received prasadam from the archak there.
He then walked through the area with party supporters holding party flags and handouts. “Vote for a youngster like me. Give me a chance,” Kamath told his electorate. He sang praises of Modi in every household he went to. He even raised a slogan in favor of Modi and Bharat Mata. While some joined him in raising the slogan, others simply smiled and said “jai”.
Kamath played the Modi card to seek votes in the area. His handouts contained details about his proposed projects for the constituency and the funds released by the Union government for Dakshina Kannada in the past four years.

Kamath had his breakfast at a friend’s house where the house warming ceremony was taking place and then headed towards a newspaper office to give an interview. He later went to the government offices in the Public Works Department building in the Hampankatta area and the Commercial Tax Office seeking votes, before taking his lunch break. In the evening, Kamath visited the Bengre area seeking votes of fishermen and others.
