Food delivery entities and other essential services have been exempted from the weekend curfew that started at 10 am on Saturday morning.

The Commissioner was referring to an incident from last year during the lockdown when a dozen people were caught after they falsely claimed to be workers of food delivery companies wearing company t-shirts.

Commissioner Pant further stated that all DCPs have been instructed to be vigilant in their jurisdictions and ensure that rules are strictly adhered to.

“Police officials will be patrolling all areas of the city throughout the day to check for any violators,” he added.
