Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police M.N. Anucheth warned that criminal cases would be filed against drivers found driving under the influence or without a valid driving license.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Anucheth revealed that approximately 20,000 school vehicles have been inspected over the past 10 months. Among these, 120 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The transport department has recommended to suspend their licenses.
The traffic police are continuing strict operations against school vehicle drivers caught inebriated while on duty.
