The E- Lost App launched by Bengaluru police in 2017 helps in reporting lost things such as documents, mobile phones, wallets, and more.

According to the police, there is no need to visit a police station and file a complaint, people will get an e-mail with a digitally-signed copy on the app itself acknowledging the lost report, which can be authenticated by authorities like for duplicate documents.
