Kengeri Lake Development Corporation had called tender in January 2017. “In view of strict standards of the Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority(KLCDA) the project was halted,” authorities said.
“We arranged the Detailed Project Report (DPR) many years back. It required a considerable measure of investment to get the permit from KLCDA and to vacate the occupation. In addition, it was hard to pull in builders with stringent tender policies,” said an official working for the venture.
MR Protech Private Limited has been granted the tender and is good to go to develop Kengeri lake by spending Rs.7 crores. “Bengaluru Water Board itself changed the way of sewage ways associated with the lake. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike cleared the wastage,” he said.
