On Ambedkar's 129th birth anniversary, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president DK Shivakumar informed that the Karnataka Congress leaders and workers will be reading the Preamble of India at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14.
Taking to Twitter Shivakumar wrote, "As Prime Minister is addressing the Nation at 10 AM, Karnataka Congress Leaders & Workers will #ReadThePreamble at 11 AM. Please read the preamble from wherever you are. Let us reaffirm the faith we have in the principles of our constitution during this time of national crisis."

In another tweet he said, " JP Nadda ji, Thank you for accepting my non-partisan suggestion of taking a pledge to uphold the ideals & tenets of our Constitution by reading the Preamble on Ambedkar Jayanti. At 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14 all of us will #ReadThePreamble wherever we are & remember Babasaheb Ambedkar."
