BSNL employees stage dharna

Mangaluru: Employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) on Wednesday staged a dharna outside its office premises here against the failure of the government to act on its assurance of allocating 4G spectrum to BSNL among other demands

A pan-India protest is being staged on the call given by All Unions and Associations of BSNL(AUAB). Accordingly, employees are conducting rallies at circle and district levels.

At a meeting held on February 24 of this year the Minister of state for communications had assured to fulfill the demands of the BSNL employees, which includes allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL, settlement of 3rd Pay revision, pension revision, implementation of government rules in payment of pension contribution by BSNL and lastly settlement of left-out issues of 2nd PRC.
