Cattle theft is not confined to specific religions: Mithun Rai

Moodbidri: Youth Congress leader Mithun Rai on Saturday said that Cattle theft is a profitable business and not confined to any specific caste or religion.

Speaking at a press meet held at Moodbidri, Rai said, “People from all castes and religion are involved in the business Congress activists stopped the illegal cow trafficking at Kadaba in which BJP activists were involved. One must bring laws to protect the cows. If you are genuine and love Gau Mata then take steps to protect her first. Also,  undertake measures to preserve our native breeds.”

“Why is the party unable to enact a law regarding this when there is BJP government both in the state and at the centre?” he questioned.

He further said, ” I have 50 cows belonging to different breeds at home and I had given away cows to those who have a genuine interest in raising them. One must show their love for the cows by rearing and taking care of them.”
