“The BJP government at the centre has created a scarcity of helicopters so that we cannot reach more people in the State. They have issued directions in this regard.

Such low level politics is being played out in the state,” Kumaraswamy said.

Speaking to reporters in Hassan from where his nephew Prajwal Revanna is contesting the Lok Sabha election, Kumarswamy predicted that the 2019 polls would not be a cakewalk for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“This is not going to be a cakewalk for Narendra Modi. There is tremendous difference between 2014 and 2019…

I won’tcomment on that but considering the developments in thecountry, I can say that it will be a tough election for Modi,”the chief minister said.

Kumaraswamy also hit out at the prime minister for reportedly calling the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) a ‘Khichri.’

“He may call us Khichri parties but the National Democratic Alliance is a formation of 13 parties.

If at all he had done some positive works for the development of the country and its people, there was no need for him to stand at the door of regional parties,” the chief minister said.

Kumaraswamy saw a bigger role for his father and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda at the national level post elections.

He said his father would get more weightage for his views.

In this regard, he appealed to the voters of Karnataka toreject the BJP and give all the 28 Lok Sabha seats in the State to the Congress-JD(S) coalition, so that they could get a government atthe centre that could solve the problems of Karnataka.

“It is a good opportunity for voters to throw out the BJP.

Today if you win us 28 seats in Karnataka, there will be a government at the Centre which will provide solutions to theproblems of Karnataka,” Kumaraswamy said.
