Charmadi ghat to be closed from 7 pm to 6 am due to landslide possibility

Chikkamagaluru: With heavy rains increasing the possibility of landslides at Charmadi ghat, authorities have decided to shut the ghat road to vehicular traffic between 7 pm and 6 am.

Heavy rainfall had already caused landslides at Shiradi ghat and vehicles were diverted through the Charmadi ghat.

However, with rainfall increasing at Charmadi ghat too the possibility of landslides there too has increased leading to authorities restricting traffic through the ghat roads.
