Chief Minister says his Delhi visit was sucessful

Bengaluru: Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy, has said that his Delhi visit was successful. “Amid my talks with different central ministers over the past two-days, I succeeded in getting over Rs 2,500 crore funds for the state. Moreover, I could get permission for different projects here,” he said.

The Chief Minister had gone to Delhi to have talks with the MPs from the state in the light of the beginning of the monsoon session of the parliament. Amid this period he also met union ministers for food and consumer affairs, surface transport, defense, agriculture, railway and coal, and had discussions with them. Kumaraswamy said that central food and consumer affairs minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, has instructed the authorities to release Rs 954 crore to Karnataka.

“We conveyed to the notice of union minister for agriculture, Radhamohan Singh, about our plans to set up mega diaries in milk producers’ co-operative societies, as 85 lakh liters of milk is being delivered in the state now consistently,” he said. 

The Chief Minister said that Singh valued this thought and consented to release Rs 900 crore for the same. “By utilizing this fund, we will set up mega dairies in Hassan, Kolar, and Dakshina Kannada region. In the meantime, ministers for highways, railway, and irrigation have guaranteed to stretch out full help to the projects in the state,” he described.
