He was referring to the recent order by the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department to conduct a survey of both official and non-official Christian missionaries functioning in the State.
Addressing the media Lobo said, “The decision for the survey is being justified on the reason of alleged religious conversions. However, these allegations are baseless.”
He underscored that it was impossible to convert anyone to another religion forcibly and said “Even if such cases occur, there are enough laws to protect the victims. BJP is unnecessarily targetting a particular community.”
