CM Yediyurappa refused to change the amendment and tried to convince the peasant leaders by promising to reduce the landholding limit, but the farmer leaders did not budge.

Maruti Manpade, who was in the meeting, said that we tried to make the CM understand and demanded that he abandon the amendment, however, the Cm had come only to preach to us, we have not accepted it.

Kodagalpur Nagendra of the Raita Sangha said that we have not responded to the CM’s request. We will go ahead with the bandh on September 28 and will start a house-to-house struggle against the BJP government.

Kodihalli Chandrashekhar stated that Yeddiyurapp did not respond positively to taking back the amendment bills. He is not willing to go against Modi’s orders. All those who eat the rice grown by the farmers must participate in the bandh on September 28
