CM says women should fight for their political right

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has asked the women of the state to battle for their privilege for political reservations.

Speaking subsequent to inaugurating the two-day ‘Women of Worth (WoW) Karnataka 2018’ summit, the Chief Minister stated: “Measure up to rights ought to be given to ladies in all fields, particularly in legislative issues and organization. Since 1996, the Women’s Reservation Bill that accommodates holding 33% of the aggregate seats in the Lower House of Parliament is pending before Parliament. Women should battle for their political rights.”

Women turning business person is a good move, Siddaramaiah stated, and included that the state government in the 2018-19 budget has put aside Rs 34,388 crore for women empowerment. The government is additionally arranging separate for the women of the state, he said.

He inaugurated K Ratna Prabha Aspiring Women Foundation on the event. The Foundation named after Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha is situated in Bidar.

Siddaramaiah additionally established the framework for Special Women’s Tech Parks that are coming up at Harohalli close Kanankapura in Ramanagaram region, Hubballi, Dharwad, Mysuru, Ballari, and Kalaburagi.
