Siddaramaiah said that he now trusts that Adityanath will quit “lecturing” Karnataka on improvement. Both the leaders had engaged in a Twitter war, on the issues of advancement and administration in their respective states.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s tweet read “BJP has suffered humiliating loss in the Lok Sabha seats held by the CM & DyCM of UP. Congratulations to SP & BSP for this historic victory. Unity among the non-BJP parties has played a key role. Perhaps Yogi Adityanath should spend less time lecturing Karnataka on development”,

JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy additionally tweeted respecting the bypoll results. The tweet read “The voters of Karnataka too will take a similar decision. The UP, Bihar results have come as a morale boost to the JD(S), which is working towards gaining a majority. The SP could win in UP because of BSP supremo Mayawati’s support. BSP has also supported the JD(S) in Karnataka. With BSP’s support, JD(S) is bound to form a government in Karnataka,”
