Congress candidate Basanagouda Turuvihal wins in Maski

Maski: Pratap Gowda Patil, former Congress MLA and BJP’s candidate in the Maski Assembly bypoll has lost the election to Congress’s Basanagouda Turuvihal.

Patil had resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP before the by-elections.

Turuvihal won by a margin of 30,641 votes with a total tally of 86,222 votes.

Patil received 55,581 votes.
