Speaking on the issue of a possible alliance between BJP and JD(S) he said, “We will not say anything on that now. We would talk about it after seeing the political developments and results.”

Shivakumar further said that a committee headed by Eshwara Khandre and Satish Jarkiholi has been constituted for Belgaum Lok Sabha by-election and another committee headed by MB Patil has been constituted for Basavakalyan and Maski assembly constituency by-elections.
