Congress worker killed in fight

Chikkaballapur: Conflict between two groups in the Chikkaballapur District Congress which was followed by ‘lathi’ charge by the police resulted in the death of a party worker on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinay (25), a resident of Chamarajapet in the district.  During the meeting which was held at Siddeshwar Bhavan on Sunday to receive applications from ticket aspirants for the upcoming assembly polls, Supporters of MLA D K Sudhakar and Naveen Kiran broke a fight which turned violent. The police had to baton charge to bring the situation under control which left Vinay dead.
